Stephen James Cavallaro, of Enterprise, died May 31, 2007, at his home. He was 60.
Mr. Cavallaro was born Sept 16,1946, in Houston, Texas to Paul James and Patricia VanBilliard Cavallaro. He grew up in San Francisco and Reno and graduated from Reno High School in 1964. He served five years as an electrical apprentice in Reno. He married Janis Muler in Reno in 1967. They had two children Steve and Tiffany. The family later moved to Enterprise where Mr. Cavallaro did electrical work as Eagle Cap Electric until he became ill. He was a member of AA for 29 years.
He was an avid muleskinner and was affiliated with Rotary, the Elks, Wallowa County Sheriff’s Posse, Back Country Horseman and the Hells Canyon Mule Days Board of Directors.
He was a member of St. Katherine’s Catholic Church in Enterprise and St. Theresa Little Flower Catholic Church in Reno. He was a supporter of the Right to Life movement.
Mr. Cavallaro is survived by son Steve and wife Karen of Reno, Nev.; daughter Tiffany and husband Don of Pendleton; sister Caran Hamilton and husband Larry of Pendleton; seven grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Rosary was held June 3 at St. Katherine’s Catholic Church in Enterprise with a Mass at St. Katherine’s on June 4. Interment followed at the Enterprise Cemetery. Memorials in his memory may be made to the “Right to Life Fund” in care of the Bollman Funeral Home, 315 W Main St., Enterprise, OR 97828.

Stephen James Cavallaro, 60, died May 31 at his home in Enterprise. A Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday, and a Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, both at St. Katherine Catholic Church in Enterprise. Burial will follow at the Enterprise Cemetery.
