Margaret Ann Cox was born in Madison county, Kentucky, December 5, 1870, and grew to womanhood there. She moved to Illinois where she united in marriage to W.J. Reece December 20, 1891. To this union were born 12 children, two of them dying in infancy. Following are those remaining: Mrs. E.H. Bonner of Weiser, Idaho;; Mrs. Willard Phillips of Mesa, Idaho; Mrs. F.E. Laird of Hermiston, Ore.; A.M. Reece of Spokane, Wash.; Lacy, Wilbur, Floyd, Emerson, Homer and Wayne, all of Enterprise. Mr. Reece also survives. The relatives of the deceased who were at the funeral were Mrs. Frank Cook and W.B. Cox of Enterprise; D.H. Cox of Willamina, Ore., H.D. Cox of Nampa, Idaho. There are two sisters and one brother in the east.

Mrs. Reece united with the Christian church in early life. Although moving frequently she always placed her membership in the church where she resided, feeling the need of a church home. She was a loyal, loving, uncomplaining wife, a wonderful mother, giving her life an her all for her home and family. She was always mindful of others and received greater pleasure in giving and helping others than in receiving. Always writing cheerful letters to shut-ins and invalids who were strangers to her.
