Biographical Sketch of Lucius S. Hart
Lucius S. Hart was born on December 11, 1879, in Racine and educated in local public schools. His early work was in the family’s woolen mill. In 1900, he toured Europe with his brother, Harold. Tragically, he was accidentally shot while hunting in California on February 18, 1902, and died shortly thereafter. Hart was an active and loyal member of the Baptist church, leading a mission in Racine. His exemplary character left a lasting impression on those who knew him.
