Konomihu Tribe
The Konomihu are a subgroup of the Shasta tribe, located at the confluence of the Salmon River in Siskiyou County, California. Their territory spans 7 miles along the south fork and 5 miles along the north fork of the river. Notably, the Konomihu language significantly differs from that of the larger Shasta population, highlighting their unique cultural identity.
