Cemetery transcription of Burnett Cemetery in Fannin County, Texas.

The Selfs family settled on Bullards creek southwest of Windom in the early 1840’s coming from North Carolina. They were buried on their farm and their neighbors were allowed to use their family graveyard. A schoolhouse was built and the first teacher was a Mr. A. H. Burnett. The school was called Burnett as was the cemetery.
