  1. Interested on any information on the Martin, James Martin , or Samuel Martin genealogy. All I have are those similar names at the very beginning of our line, James Martin had married a Martha/Patsy _____ and the earliest info I have is from Hampshire Co in Virginia in the 1750s. But because we have Native American history and genetic ties I believe that they started a little farther south. Also when the families moved north in Ohio, my family also owned the property of Raven Rocks in Monroe County, where there has been archealogical evidence of Native Americans from 750AD. This property is under protection by local residents and my ancestors are buried in a private cemetery nearby.
