Lloyd Alvin Waid, 93, passed away on July 30 in La Grande, Oregon. A family graveside service was held at Stanfield Cemetery, with a future celebration of life planned at the Ukiah Senior Center. Born on February 27, 1914, Lloyd had a notable career in forestry after serving in the Navy during WWII. He played a significant role in incorporating Ukiah and served as its mayor for 15 years. Lloyd is survived by his daughter, granddaughter, and siblings, with memorial contributions encouraged for the local Presbyterian Church or Ukiah Senior Center.
