List of Choctaw Freedmen whose names were omitted from final rolls because no application was made or by. reason of mistake or oversight. Shows the names of 281 persons, all minors except 4. The approved roll of minor Choctaw freedmen contains 473 names. The large percentage of omissions in this class is explained elsewhere. It is quite probable that there are others of this class whose claims have not yet been presented or disclosed.
Edmund Ingalls, son of Robert, was born about 1598 in Skirbeck, Lincolnshire, England. He immigrated in 1628 to Salem, Massachusetts and with his brother, Francis, founded Lynn, Massachusetts in 1629. He married Ann, fathered nine children, and died in 1648.

Louis N. Simpson Dies at Portland Enterprise, Oregon Word has been received at the death of Louis N. Simpson at Portland on January 5th. Mr. Simpson worked at Heacock’s jewelry store for a year and a half. He left for Portland on Nov. 1st, Mr. and Mrs. Simpson roomed at the Voget home while in Enterprise. John F. Simpson was born December, 1824, in Prince William County, Virginia, the son of J. W. Simpson, of Bardstown, Kentucky, who is now ninety-two years of age. John F. came to Kentucky at the age of twelve, and was educated at the public schools. After a residence of some ten years in Louisville, he moved to Eufaula in the Creek Nation (in 1872), and in the year following embarked in the hide and fur business, which he continues until the present day. He had a son named Erasmus, who married Mary Bartlett, of Virginia, and they had Fortes B., Elizabeth, Thomas, James W., Martha, William H. H., John L., Mary, Julia, and Jeptha D. Fortes B. settled in Warren County in 1828. Elizabeth married William B. King, and they settled in St. Charles County in 1830. Martha married Sidney S. Wood, who settled in St. Charles County in 1835. Julia married Joseph I. Carter, and settled in St. Charles County in. 1836.

Established around a mill operated by Sheshbazzar Bentley Sr. and Jr. on Pigeon Creek in 1816, the town grew to a population of 300 by 1868. The author traces the origins of Bentleysville back to the 1770s to document the earliest settlers, while also providing context through significant national events like the Whiskey Rebellion and the Civil War. Although Bentleysville’s history as a village ended before 1900, this work preserves its legacy for future generations.
