This family’s history intertwines with the influential Brett and Fullerton families, reflecting their deep ties to New England’s early settlers and their enduring impact on local society.

G. Louis Meade, born January 8, 1870, in Camden, N.J., was the son of William T. and Maria N. Stetser Meade. He was educated in Camden’s public schools and married Emma Sommers Iszard in 1897, with whom he had a son, Parker W. Meade, born in 1898. Meade worked in the salt business in Philadelphia from 1892 to 1899, joined a salt combine in 1898, and served as treasurer and vice president of the Cleveland Salt Co. He was also active in the Chamber of Commerce and Athletic Club.
