Biographical Sketch of Arthur Linley

Arthur Linley was born on October 2, 1872, in Sheffield, England, to Perry and Eliza A. Linley. He was educated at Montgomery College and later married Minnie V. Gaul in Cleveland on November 20, 1897, with whom he had two children. Initially pursuing a career in chemistry, Linley shifted to the electrical industry at age 21, obtaining several patents. He served as the manager of The Linley Electric Company and was actively involved in the Sons of Jove and the Cleveland Cricket Club.
