Biography of F. J. Kidd
F. J. Kidd, born on July 16, 1880, in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, became an influential figure in Racine as secretary and treasurer of the Racine Manufacturing Company. His successful career began in the iron industry, leading to his management role at the Wisconsin Engine Company before joining Racine Manufacturing in 1913. Kidd’s contributions not only advanced his career but also benefited public prosperity. He married Harriett Maltby in 1904, with whom he has two children, and remains active in community and political affairs.
Biography of W. A. Kidd
W. A. Kidd, born March 9, 1869, in Pennsylvania, is a prominent businessman in Washington County, recognized as the head of the W. A. Kidd Lumber Company in Bartlesville. After early ventures in oil drilling, he successfully established his lumber business, which employs seven people and serves the retail sector. Kidd has transitioned from initial debt to substantial success through determination and wise management. He is also active in local organizations and has a family with two sons and a daughter from a previous marriage.
Jason E. Kidd
1st Class Private Jason E. Kidd, born in Guilford County to Mr. and Mrs. S. L. Kidd and husband of Jennie Kidd, enlisted on July 19, 1916. After training at Camp Sevier, he sailed for France on August 11, 1918, where he fought on the Hindenburg Line. Kidd also served on the Mexican border for four months before being discharged at Camp Lee, Virginia, on June 17, 1919.
