William Wilson, the pioneer ancestor of this family, emigrated from Stewardstown, County of Tyrone, Ireland, in 1732, when 19 years of age. The Town of Stewardstown is in the parish of Donagheny in the province of Ulster and eighty-two miles northwest of Dublin, long noted for its very superior linen cloth.
MAJ. WILLIAM HUNT GOFF, one of Attleboro’s well known citizens and leading public men, is a native of the Old Bay State, born in the town of Rehoboth, April 10, 1845. HOPKINS, Mary I. Todd9, (Morris8, Allen7, David6, Abraham5, Abraham4, Jonah3, Samuel2, Christopher1) was born in Quasqueton, Buchanan County, Iowa, in 1856, married about 1877, M. M. Hopkins, who was a physician. Before her marriage she taught school for a few years. After their marriage they moved to the state of Washington and afterwards to Alaska. She died in Oregon in 1905. Children: I. Zilpah, m. Elbert Blackmar and they reside in Cal. II. Jessie, m.(???)Hunt, and they reside in Alaska.

Moses Adams Packard, of Brockton, where he has been so long and so successfully engaged in the manufacture of shoes, is as well one of that city’s highly honored and respected citizens. Mr. Packard began life with little capital save boundless energy and a resolute purpose, and has pushed his way upward against almost every kind of obstacle until he now holds a foremost position among the leading manufacturers in this Commonwealth, vindicating the old saying, “Labor is king.” He was born Feb. 28, 1843, in New London, N. H., which was the home of his mother, while his father was a native of North Bridgewater, and a descendant of one of the old and historical families of Massachusetts.
Since its coming to this Bridgewater settlement, which was the first interior settlement of the Old Colony, as early as 1664, to the present time, for nearly two hundred and fifty years, the Packard family has been one prominent and influential in this community, and has become a most numerous family, many, too, of its members both at home and abroad having given a good account of themselves.
Auto Accident Proves Fatal Wendell Hunt Died Monday In Pendleton Hospital From Injuries Wendell Hunt, 21, of Whittier, Calif., who was injured in an automobile accident last week, 15 miles east of Pendleton, died Monday in a Pendleton hospital, where he was taken following the accident. JONATHAN WHITE, for sixty years a member of the Plymouth county bar and a citizen of note in what is now Brockton, Plymouth Co., Mass., was born Aug. 22, 1819, in that part of Randolph called East Randolph (now Holbrook), Norfolk Co., Mass., son of Jonathan and Abigail (Holbrook) White. Nicholas Snow, a native of England, came to this country in 1623 in the ship “Ann,” locating in Plymouth, where he had a share in the division of land in 1624. In 1634 he removed to Eastham, where he became a prominent citizen. His home was on the road from Plymouth to Eel river, on the Westerly side. He was admitted a freeman in 1633, and was elected town clerk at the first meeting of the town of Eastham, holding that office sixteen years. He was deputy to the General Court from 1648, three years; selectman from 1663, seven years. He and his son Mark signed the call to Rev. John Mayo to settle as their minister in 1655. He was one of Gov. Thomas Prence’s associates. He married at Plymouth, Constance, daughter of Stephen Hopkins, who came over in the “Mayflower.” Constance herself came in the “Mayflower.” She died in October, 1677. Mr. Snow died Nov. 15, 1676, in Eastham, Mass.
Edmund Ingalls, son of Robert, was born about 1598 in Skirbeck, Lincolnshire, England. He immigrated in 1628 to Salem, Massachusetts and with his brother, Francis, founded Lynn, Massachusetts in 1629. He married Ann, fathered nine children, and died in 1648.

Ella Mae Shephard Hunt, 93, of Baker City, died July 11, 2005, at Ashley Manor Care Center. At her request, cremation was held. Mrs. Hunt was born on May 14, 1912, at Tetonia, Idaho, to John Henry and Ella Mae Jackson Hardwick. She received her early education in the Panama Canal area where her family was working. The family moved to the United States, settling in Baker City where she completed her education. She married Clarence Shephard. The couple were married for more than 50 years.
