The funeral of Mrs. Susan M. Harris, who died from paralysis Saturday night, took place yesterday afternoon from the Rose & Inman undertaking parlors, the Rev. W. L. Straub of the Christian Church officiating. Interment followed in the Odd Fellows’ Cemetery. The deceased, who was 72 years old at the time of her death, is survived by eleven children, as follows: G. P. He is mentioned in the Cooper Gen. He married second Feb. 24, 1790, Susannah, dau. of Isaac and Abigail (Hale) Chandler, of Enfield, Ct., born Feb. 3, 1754. Edward Hunt’s “Weymouth ways and Weymouth people: Reminiscences” takes the reader back in Weymouth Massachusetts past to the 1830s through the 1880s as he provides glimpses into the people of the community. These reminiscences were mostly printed in the Weymouth Gazette and provide a fair example of early New England village life as it occurred in the mid 1800s. Of specific interest to the genealogist will be the Hunt material scattered throughout, but most specifically 286-295, and of course, those lucky enough to have had somebody “remembered” by Edward.

He it was who did so much for the town of Harrisville, giving it its name, serving it as its first representative, etc. He received only a common school education, and before he was twenty-one he worked alternately on the farm and in the custom-shop, carding wool in summer and dressing cloth for customers in the autumn and winter. Dewey L. Harris Murdered in Idaho A telegram was received Saturday saying that Dewey Harris, a former resident of Enterprise, had been found dead, evidently murdered. It has been learned that he was murdered Friday afternoon by a fellow worker because of jealousy over a woman. The fellow afterwards confessed. Dewey spent 18 months overseas and since returning had taken a job on the ranch, where he was murdered. He was a son of Marion Harris who left Enterprise a couple of years ago. Frozen to Death Coroner Steincamp was summoned to Sumerville last evening to hold an inquest upon the remains of J.C. Harris who was found dead in his cabin six miles northwest of that place in the timber. He had been in town the evening before and went home drunk.
