The Lincoln County New Mexico online archives contains pdf’s of all remaining copies of the El Farol Newspaper of Capitan NM, but doesn’t have an index to the newspaper. C. W. Barnum, an active member of AHGP, and state coordinator for the New Mexico AHGP recently invested his time and energy into providing an every person index to the various extant issues. Narraguagus Valley Some Account of its Early Settlement and Settlers

The early settlement of the Narraguagus River in Washington County, Maine, involved significant developments in nearby towns such as Steuben, Milbridge, Harrington, and Cherryfield. Established between 1791 and 1816, these towns evolved from former townships. Key early settlers included Jabez Dorman, John Densmore, Ichabod Willey, and Samuel Colson, who arrived around 1757. Their families contributed to the growth of the region, establishing roots and communal records that reflect the intertwined histories of these communities. Notably, many surnames from the early settlers persist in the area today.

In the 1980’s a series of newsletters were published four times a year by Seneca County NY featuring historical information concerning Seneca county and her past residents. The current historian for Seneca County placed these online using PDF files. One of the main features of each edition were biographical sketches of early settlers of Seneca County. Biography of James F. Clancy, M. D.

Dr. James F. Clancy, born in St. Louis on September 28, 1886, is a distinguished surgeon with a notable career. Educated at St. Louis University, he earned his M.D. in 1912 and gained experience as an interne and resident physician at St. Mary’s Hospital. After serving in World War I, he established his practice in July 1919 and has since gained recognition for his surgical expertise. He is affiliated with several medical associations and remains committed to his Catholic faith and community involvement.
