Bartol

George Bartol, born on May 16, 1857, in Lancaster, Massachusetts, graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1877. He began his career at the Otis Steel Co. in 1879 as a chemist and became general manager in 1898. Bartol also served as president of the Colonial and Warner Realty Companies, held a director position at the First National Bank, and was active in various organizations, including the Union, University, and Civil Engineers Clubs, while identifying as a Republican.
