Services Friday For Mrs. Thompson

Mrs. Mabel Glenn Thompson, of Wallowa, passed away at the Wallowa Memorial Hospital on Monday, Sept. 28, 1970 following several months of ill health.

Mrs. Thompson was the daughter of Wallowa County pioneers. Thomas and Chati Willet and was born Sept. 12. 1891 on the Willett homestead near Wallowa. On April 16, 1913 she was married at Wallowa to Al Thompson and the couple ranched in Wallowa county until 1938. Then they moved to Union and Baker Counties until 1958 when they retired to Wallowa. She was a member of the La Grande Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Thompson is survived by her husband, Al, of the Wallowa home; two daughters, Mrs. Melvin G. (Alta) Gekeler of Wallowa and Mrs. C. N. (Verla) Braden of Boise, Ida .: one brother, George Willett of Shedd; and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Memorial services will be conducted by the Bollman Funeral Home tomorrow (Friday) at 2 p.m. at the Wallowa Methodist Church with Rev. Gertrude Sorlien officiating.
Vault internment will be in the Wallowa cemetery.

Those attending the funeral are asked to use the rear entrance of the Methodist Church as the front steps are undergoing repair.
