Brian Scott Steffen, 29, died Oct. 5, 2005, at his mother’s home in Baker City.
His memorial service was Saturday at Wade Williams Park. Shirley McLin of Baker City officiated.
Brian was born on Sept. 13, 1976, at Portland to Jeffrey Steffen and Cathy Steffen Vandiver. He was raised and educated at Cascade Locks.
Brian enjoyed the outdoors, working for Garry McLin, fishing, camping, and taking his dog Dutch to the 203 Pond and the woods to run.
“You will be missed and always be remembered and loved forever. May you rest in peace now Brian,” his family said.
Survivors include his mom and stepfather Cathy and Ron Vandiver; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Carlos Aguirre; niece and nephew, Madison and Domanick Aguirre; grandparents, LaVern and Marjorie Stubbs, Carmen Steffen and Ruth Vandiver and family; aunts and uncles, Joe and Rhonda Stubbs, Marion Stubbs, Jessie and Glenda Groves, John and Wanda Brunsec, Barbara and Erwin Olehaphon, Donna and Pete Habben, Mike and Dee-Dee Sampson, Mitch and Shelia Steffen, Rob and Patrica Steffen, Charlene and Ken Turner, Stewart Steffen, Danny and Debbie Vandiver, Mike Vandiver and family, Fred Vandiver and wife, Jim Vandiver, Rhonda Vandiver and David Brad; stepsiblings Dori and Richard Lamb, Donna Reedy and family, Carl Reedy, Mike Lunyou, Tony Lunyou, and Lee Donna Reedy.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jeffrey Leon Steffen, and his grandfather, Lowell Leon Steffen.
