Edith Loraine Palmer passed away April 26, at the age of 90, in Gresham, OR. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Huntington.
Edith was born February 9, 1914 in Huntington to Charles H. and Orpha (Reynolds) Palmer. She graduated from Huntington High school in 1933. In 1937 she graduated from U of O with a degree in Sociology.
Edith joined the United States Womans Army Corps in 1943 where she was a Sergeant in WWII, stationed in
The Philippines and New Guinea. She worked for the City of Huntington as the City Recorder from 1950-1977.
She was active in the Huntington VFW and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She had lived in her entire life in Huntington, until 1995 when she moved to Gresham, OR.
She is survived by her niece Sharon Perry of Gresham, OR; nephew Scott Elliott fo Boise, Idaho.
