J.E. (Ex) Lindley, following a stroke of paralysis about two weeks ago, died at his room in Baker Wednesday night at 11:50.
He was fifty-six years old on the day of his death and had been a resident of the North Powder community for about 35 years, coming here from Paoli, Indiana, the place of his birth. For the past two years he has been in poor health on account of a first attack of paralysis. He was unmarried. He had engaged at one time in the grocery business at North Powder, but for the past several years had devoted his time to the breeding of blooded sheep on his ranch west of town.
B.L. Lindley of Baker and R.E. Lindley of North Powder are brothers of the deceased.
Funeral services from the West parlors in Baker Thursday afternoon and burial was in the Baker cemetery.
