La Grande, Union County, Oregon

Dies Sunday
Ray C. Goodnough, 57 , 905 Spring, a resident of La Grande all his life and an active club-man in this city, died unexpectedly of a heart attack Sunday at the La Grande Elks club.

Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 2 PM in the Snodgrass funeral home by Rev. Louis M. Samson, First Presbyterian church pastor, assisted by the Elks lodge. Interment will be conducted by the La Grande Veterans of Foreign Wars at the Island City cemetery.

Born in Island City, Mr. Goodnough was a carpenter-contractor by trade, a member of the Elks, the Modern Woodmen of America, the VFW and the American Legion.

He is survived by his widow; Mrs. Effie Goodnough; three sisters, Mrs. James Y. Walnum, Island City; Mrs. C. C. Bull, 902 Pennsylvania avenue, and Mrs. H. E. Banton, 1016 Thirteenth, and a brother Ronald Goodnough, La Grande.
