Enterprise, Oregon
Julie Butner, 57, former resident of Enterprise passed away at home surrounded by her family, on Sept. 12 in Spokane, Wash., after a brave five-year battle with cancer. Her shortened life left her with many great memories, most of which were shared with her husband, John Butner, of 39 years.
She was born on Aug. 31, 1947 to Jack and Evelyne Wagner. Julie grew up in Enterprise, spending much of her time at her parents business, Wagner’s Men’s Store. Although she lived in Spokane for 31 years, she considered Enterprise her home and did what she could to bring the beautiful scenery back to share with her family and many friends.
Julie is preceded in death by her father, Jack Wagner and is survived by her mother, Evelyn Wagner of Enterprise, brother Ron Wagner of Chehalis, Wash., husband John Butner of Spokane, and Jennifer of Moscow, Idaho.
She is also survived by six grandchildren, Connor and Blake Butner, Mychal and Dustin Ferger of Spokane; and Tyler and Rylee Ochoa of Moscow.
A memorial service is set for Saturday Sept. 18 at 11 a.m. at the Spokane Valley Church of the Nazarene, 15515 E. 20th Ave.
An internment service will be held later in Enterprise at a date to be determined.
