Services Held For Nellie Boner

Memorial services for Mrs. Nellie Boner who passed away Monday, September 14, 1964, at the Wallowa memorial Hospital were held last Thursday, September 17, at the Bollman Chapel, with the Rev. Douglas T. Field, Pastor of the Enterprise Baptist Church officiating. Mrs. Luella Miller was organist.

Casket bearers were: Everett Talbott, Jerry Jennings, Max Gorsline, Malcome Dawson, Elmer storm and Guy Davis with internment in Prairie Creek cemetery.

Mrs. Boner was the daughter of Samuel and Ella Foster, and was born on October 27, 1887 in Bellingham, Wash. She came with her parents to Joseph when she was eleven years of age and had continued to live in Joseph with the exception of a few months spent with her son in Medford. For several years she taught in Wallowa County School and for 23 years she clerked in Eben’s mercantile store in Joseph. On June 7, 1908 she was married in Joseph to George Boner who preceded her in death in 1935. She was a member of the Methodist church. She had been in ill health for two years.

Survivors include one son, Harold Foster Boner, of Medford; and two brothers, J.B. Foster, of Enterprise, and Lyle Foster, of Joseph.
