Arndt, Gustav Henry; master plumber; born, Tiegenhoff, April 18, 1871; son of Cornelius Michael and Caroline Bernhart Arndt; educated, public and Evangelical Church school; married, Cleveland, May 20, 1898, Amanda M. Reppe; issue, six daughters; started in the plumbing business in Dec., 1907, on. W. 14th St.; have a branch at South Brooklyn, which now occupies a two-story cement building on Pearl Rd., and is one of the best equipped plumbing shops in the city; pres. The Arndt Plumbing Co. and The Arndt Garage & Auto Supply Shop; member Ellsworth Lodge F. & A. M., Pearl Lodge No. 163 K. of P., GIen Lodge No. 263 I. 0. O. F. Recreations: Country and swimming. Am master of two trades, plumbing and machinists; had charge of two tool rooms and worked in four of the leading R. R. tool rooms in the city.
