Bruno, Ernst W.; contractor; born Port Huron, Mich., Dec. 4, 1876; son of William F. and Theresa Orttenberger Bruno; public school, high school and business college education in Port Huron, Mich.; married, Port Huron, Mich., June 26, 1902, Marie Unger; started business with his father, who was a contractor; spent two years ranching at Albuquerque, N. Mex., and Eagle Pass, Texas; on coming north was associated with the Michigan Telephone Co., and came to Cleveland in April, 1896, for the Cleveland Telephone Co.; then with Cleveland Illuminating Co. until 1906, in charge of underground construction; then started in general contracting, paving, sewer, concrete and water mains work; member Biglow Lodge, F. & A. M., Thatcher Chapter, R. A. M.; member Athletic Club. Recreations: Hunting Big Game, all Outdoor Sports and Motoring.
