Evans of Flora, was born May 16, 1907, and passed away July 3, 1937, at the Enterprise hospital at the age of 30 years, 1 month and 17 days. She was united in marriage to Lee E. Martin October 7, 1924, at Enterprise. To this union were born four children; Eldin Lee, Vonita Irene, Vandon Carrol and Twilla Maxine, Eldin Lee Martin passed away December 15, 1926 at Flora. Rev. Smith who has been helping in the meetings at Wallowa and the Bramlet Chapel returned home the first of the week to conduct funeral services of Mrs Twaddell. Died at her home in Paradise Feb 9, 1902 Mrs Elizabeth Twaddell. Mrs Twaddell was near 76 years old. She leaves a husband and two sons. She suffered a stroke of paralysis three days before her death. Wallowa County, Oregon Lois L. Sample died at St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla, Wash., July 9, 1987. She was 65. No funeral services were held at her request. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children or the Elks Eye Clinic through Munsell-Rholdes Funeral Home Chapel in Milton-Freewater. Enterprise, Wallowa County, Oregon Gustave Adolph Danielson, 79, Utica, Mich. who came two weeks ago to visit his son Ray H. Danielson of Alder Slope, died Monday at the local hospital following a short illness. Death of Little Alva Alva, little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Redman, was born August 8, 1902 and died February 26, 1903, at the tender age of 6 months and 18 days. Ervsipelas caused the little one’s death. She died at the home of her grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Barnes, of Paradise and was buried in the Paradise Cemetery. Rev. Mrs. Geo. W. Conley Passes Rebecca S. Hooper was born near Baltimore, Maryland, May 25th, 1828, and died at Dayton, Wash., April 10th, 1920, at the age of nearly 92 years. With her husband, Geo. W. Conley, she came to Joseph in 1888 where he died in 1907. During this period of nearly twenty years they contributed largely to the development of the county and added materially to the social life of this community. Wallowa, Oregon Marvin Bork, 92, died at the nursing home in Enterprise on Feb. 27, 2005. He was born in Flora on July 22, 1912, the son of Rudolph and Rena Bork. Mr. Bork went to school in Flora. In his early years, during the Depression, he worked in the hay fields one summer for fifty cents a day. He saved his money and gave it to his parents.
