Lostine, Oregon Howard C. Kiser, 78, of Lostine died June 22 in Union. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Lostine Cemetery. Loveland Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Kiser was born July 27, 1927, to William and Agnes Olson Kiser in Weiser, Idaho. He attended Weiser schools, and worked for the ranchers on Mann Creek. He served in the Army during World War II. In May 1956 he married Nancy Thorson in Weiser. Funeral services were held for Murland Edwin Waelty Saturday, March 28 at 2 p.m., at the Bollman Funeral chapel in Enterprise. Mr. Waelty died at the Grand Ronde hospital in La Grande March 26, 1959, following a long illness. He was born at Summerville, Oregon, March 10, 1888, the son of Albert and Minnie Waelty. Charles R. Goebel passed away near Wallowa, Oregon on September 14, 1984. He was born November 5, 1896, at Wallowa, the son of Peter and Gertrude Goebel. Mrs. Neva May Botts 66, was pronounced dead at St. Joseph’s Hospital after suffering a heart attack outside the Lewiston Eagles Hall at 1304 Main St. She had just emerged from the lodge hall with Mr. and Mrs. Chester Bull when she slumped to the sidewalk. She was rushed to the hospital, where a doctor and Wilfred J Duclos, Nez Prece County coroner pronounced her dead at 1:37 A.M.
