North Powder, Union County, Oregon J.E. (Ex) Lindley, following a stroke of paralysis about two weeks ago, died at his room in Baker Wednesday night at 11:50. He was fifty-six years old on the day of his death and had been a resident of the North Powder community for about 35 years, coming here from Paoli, Indiana, the place of his birth. Goebel, Gertrude Anna Huber Gertrude Anna Huber was born in Wisconsin, September 14, 1862, where she spent her childhood and in 1881 was united in marriage to Peter Goebel. Four children were born in Wisconsin. In 1888 the family came to Wallowa County settling above Lostine on what is known as the Collins place. Lostine, Wallowa County, Oregon Keith Elsberry, six-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. George Elsberry, died at Parma, Idaho, Wednesday, July 10, of spotted fever. He was a grandchild of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Hedges, former residents of Lostine. The Elsberry family had been camping in the woods near Parma, when the child was bitten by the tick. He did not respond to medical treatment. Funeral services were held Friday, July 12, at Parma.
