Wallowa, Wallowa County, Oregon Arba M. Elledge of Wallowa died August 16, 1978 at the Wallowa Memorial Hospital. Born May 4, 1900 at Summerville, he was the son of Thomas and Lillian Elledge. Mr. Elledge was a farm owner, retired, and he lived in Wallowa County from 1919 until 1938, Umatilla County from 1943 to 1962, and in Wallowa from 1962 to 1978. TERRY TUTTLE. – Mr. Tuttle, one of the first residents of the Grande Ronde, and the first school superintendent of Union county, was born in Ohio in 1831. Until the age of twenty he remained with his father, working on the farm and obtaining an education in the log schoolhouse. The next year he was married to Miss Maria A.
