Enterprise, Oregon Myrtle Aleson Myrtle Aleson, a native of Wallow County, died Jan. 27, 2006 at the Wallowa Valley Care Center. She was 96. Mrs. Aleson was born on Sept. 16, 1909 in the Leap area of Wallowa County. She was the youngest of 10 children born to James H. and Harriet Bloom Fisher. She moved to Hurricane Creek with her parents when she was 10 years old. She married Julius Aleson on Dec. 30, 1926 at Enterprise. The couple farmed on Hurricane Creek for many years. Ruth Eleanor Daniels Cronin died Sept. 18, 2005, at the hospice in Kennewick, Wash. She was 98 years old. Mrs. Cronin was born Dec. 2, 1906 in Raton, New Mexico Territory to William A. Daniels and Caroline Gellermann Daniels. She attended high school in Enterprise. In 1926 she married Walter Cronin of Enterprise and moved to Clarkston, Wash., where they lived for over 50 years.
