Lee, Marshall B. Jr. – Obituary
Marshall Burr Lee, born on May 9, 1850, in Bartholomew County, Indiana, moved to Mahaska County as a child. After marrying Hannah Wolfe in 1875, he became a successful farmer and businessman, owning 295 acres and later running a furniture and undertaking business in Fremont. A dedicated family man and community member, Lee was involved in the M. E. Church, the Odd Fellows, and local politics. He passed away on September 19, 1911, leaving behind his widow, five children, and a legacy of integrity and moral teachings.
