Wallowa, Wallowa County, Oregon Services Friday For Mrs. Thompson Mrs. Mabel Glenn Thompson, of Wallowa, passed away at the Wallowa Memorial Hospital on Monday, Sept. 28, 1970 following several months of ill health. Mrs. Thompson was the daughter of Wallowa County pioneers. Thomas and Chati Willet and was born Sept. 12. 1891 on the Willett homestead near Wallowa. Two Baker County Pioneers Are Gone A resident of Baker county for 52 years, Samuel N. Waltz, died last Friday, his death resulting form a second stroke of paralysis, the first stroke occurring about one year ago. Mr. Waltz has been engaged in building and contracting work for many years. He was born in Monroe County, Missouri and came with his brother, Rev. E.P. Waltz, to Baker in 1875.
