Ownbey, former resident of Enterprise and Wallowa County, will be held Friday morning, Sept. 20, at 11 a.m. at the Bollman Chapel. Joe Jewett will officiate with internment in the Enterprise Cemetery. Survivors include daughters, Aldine Redd of Grants Pass, Marven Clayton and Beverly Clayton, both of Orange Calif.; son Blondel Ownbey, in Nevada; sisters, Alta McFetridge of Enterprise, Hattie McFetridge of Salem and Myrtle Hearing of Portland; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Ostrander, John – Obituary

John Ostrander died Monday June 13, 1932, at the Enterprise hospital, of cancer of the stomach. He had lived in the upper valley many years but little was know of his life and family connections. He was about 67 years old and it is believed was born in Indiana. He was married but separated from his family, and had a sister in the east. Funeral services were held at Joseph Monday. John J. Ostrander who for the past thirty years has made his home in this vicinity passed away Monday from infirmities caused by old age. He was 77 years of age. Mr. Ostrander was born at Norwalk, Connecticut and had traveled considerable before arriving in this country to make his home. He followed the profession of painter and paper hanger for many years. Moore, Charles – Obituary

Accidently Killed Chas. Moore, a herder in one of Sam Litch’s sheep camps in Wallowa county, accidentally shot and killed himself this week. The camp is situated 25 miles northeast of Enterprise and the unfortunate man was found a short time after the accident by friends.
