James B. “Jim” Nobles passed away May 30, 1999, at St. Anthony Hospital in Pendleton, at the age of 70. Jim was born December 26, 1928 in Enterprise.
He was a ranch/farmer and the farm was a century old in 1998. He was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge #1829, honorary member of both the 4-H and FFA. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and his grandchildren.
Survivors include Gladys; son J.D. Nobles and family, Trisha, Lacey and Branden, of Ninidchick, Alaska; daughter and son-in-law Debbie and Tim Gilbert and family, Dena Miller, Donnie Rynearson and Tim Jr., of Joseph; daughter Tammy Sundin and family, Krystal and Zach, of Pendleton; sisters Billie Warner and husband Clyde, of Oceanside, Calif., and Marge McGraw of Enterprise.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Haggerty, in 1998; his father, Dale Noblesin 1954, and son Ed, in 1997.
