Reece, William J. – Obituary

William J. Reece died Tuesday evening, Feb. 11, 1936, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. E.H. Bonner, at Weiser, Idaho. He had been there only a few days, as his son, Floyd, had taken him there last week from Yakima, Wash., where he had been for some time with another daughter, Mrs. Willard Phillips. Funeral services will be held at the Christian church, Enterprise, tomorrow, Friday, at 2 p.m. and burial will be in the Enterprise cemetery. C.L. Reece, W. J. Mrs. – Obituary

Enterprise, Wallowa County, Oregon Mrs. W.J. Reece passed away in Enterprise, Thursday, June 21, 1934, after an illness of more than a year. She had been helpless for some time but had suffered little physical pain and the end came very peacefully. Funeral services were held in the Christian church Sunday and burial was in the Enterprise cemetery. Rev. B.F. Miller conducted the services. Reece, Lacy D. – Obituary

Lacy D. Reece of Milton Freewater and a former resident of Enterprise passed away Wednesday, January 22, at the Veterans Administration Hospital at the age of 80. Reece lived at Rt. 3, Milton Freewater. Mr. Reece moved from Clearwater, Kansas, where he was born Sept. 5, 1894, to Oklahoma, and in 1913 he moved to Falls City, Ore. He married Ruth Eaton in Enid, Okla., and the couple then moved to Enterprise. Reece served with the U.S. Army during World War I. He returned to Enterprise after the war and worked as a meat cutter. Death of Little Alva Alva, little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Redman, was born August 8, 1902 and died February 26, 1903, at the tender age of 6 months and 18 days. Ervsipelas caused the little one’s death. She died at the home of her grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Barnes, of Paradise and was buried in the Paradise Cemetery. Rev. Reagan, Martha Jane Mrs. – Obituary

Wallowa, Wallowa County, Oregon Mrs. Martha Jane Reagan, age 76 years, died at her home in Wallowa, Saturday evening. She was buried Monday in the Lower Valley cemetery, Rev. Jasper Bogue officiated. Mrs. Reagan had lived in Wallowa and vicinity for 37 years. In August she fell and hurt herself and was confined to her bed until death. Wallowa County Reporter Thursday November 28, 1918.

Died by her own hands Our whole community was electrified Monday evening, by the news that Miss Alis Ready, had been found dead at the home of Mr. And Mrs. M. Austin of Paradise. He was 77 years old and had been ill for many months. A message telling that the end had come reached his son, George I. Ratcliff, Friday forenoon and he left for Salem in the afternoon.
