Representative T.N. Murphy, who had been in Portland for several days receiving medical treatment, died suddenly in that city Monday, December 14, 1903. Deceased was a well known business man of La Grande and was elected as representative to the legislature from Union county in 1902, which position he filled with credit. he leaves a wife and daughter, besides numerous friends to mourn his loss.
