Former Haines Resident Succumbs Jesse D. Toney, Baker county resident since 1872, died Saturday night at St. Elizabeth’s hospital. Although he had been ill for several months his condition did not become serious until Memorial day when he was taken to the hospital. He is survived, besides Mrs. Hopper, by a daughter, Mrs. C.R. Bement of Baker; two sisters, Mrs. Nora Stoval of Walla Walla and Mrs. Victoria Toney of Baker; three brothers R.V. Toney of Haines, John A.
