Marie Tucker 97, of Portland, Ore., and a former Haines resident, passed away Oct. 10, 2005, at her home in Portland. Funeral services were held in Portland on Oct. 15. She was born in Haines Oct. 4, 1908, to George and Esther Fisher. She graduated from Muddy Creek High School and the Good Samaritan School of Nursing in Portland. She worked at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Baker City, and later at Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland until her retirement. She was married to Loren Tucker in 1932 and had three children.
