FamilySearch has a had the census available on it’s website in searchable form for quite a while. Finding those links however requires you to work through multiple web pages. The links below are meant to serve genealogists as a more direct entry into the census records from 1790 through 1950 (just bookmark this page). If you use Ancestry’s census search and images and have either found them difficult to read, or question the census listing, then you should search also the FamilySearch records, as I have personally found them to contain different indices in some instances as well as different images.

Don’t forget to utilize the free census forms if you are recording these census records by hand.
