1851 Grafton Canada Directory

A Village situated on the Post road from Kingston to Toronto, within two miles of Lake Ontario, in the Township of Haldimand, County of Northumberland; Canada West distant from Belleville, 38 miles usual stage fare, 10s. from Cobourg, 71/2 miles, usual stage fare, 2s. 6d. Population about 300.
