Mildred Estes Kissler, 90, a former Baker City resident, died Feb. 8, 2007, at Sacramento, Calif.
Her graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Hope Cemetery. Pastor Jon Privett of the First Church of the Nazarene will officiate. Visitations will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Coles Funeral Home, 1950 Place St.
Mildred was born on Aug. 1, 1916, to Jess D. and Florence E. Estes at Baker City, where she was raised and educated. She was a Baker High School graduate.
She worked for a number of years for the federal government, including 17 years with the Bureau of Land Management. Mildred was a full-time employee of the Opera Association of Sacramento until her retirement. She received numerous awards for work as an executive secretary. She loved to fish and to spend time in the mountains.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include a brother, L. Edward Estes of Boise; nieces, Kay Brown of Boise and Sue Johnson of Michigan; and several nephews.
