Simon Coburn

3. SIMON2 COBURN (Merrill1) was b. May 25,1780; m. -, Ruth Eaton, b. in Haverhill, Mass., May 24, 1781, and d. in Cornish April 8, 1857. He was a farmer and d. Dec. 19, 1863. They lived many years in Salem and afterwards in Pelham and settled in Cornish about 1820. Children, all except the last one b. before coming to town:

i. ABIGAIL, b. in Salem, Aug. 22, 1803; m. Feb. 14, 1826, Amos Kelley. Eleven children. (See Kelley.) She d. Feb. 15, 1878.
ii. MARY, b. July 8, 1805, in Salem; m. Nov. 28, 1825, Moses Austin, Jr.
iii. SABRA, b. July 20, 1807, in Salem.
iv. NANCY, b. Feb. 22, 1810, in Salem; m. Jan. 21, 1833, Alvah Hall.
v. SARAH E., b. April 22, 1812, in Salem; m. Jan. 25, 1839, Rev. Charles H. Green. Four children. (See Green.) She d. in Boston May 24, 1888.
vi. LOUISA, b. Jan. 28, 1815, in Salem; m. Feb. 12, 1839, Oliver Hall.
vii. SIMON BRADFORD, b. Jan. 21, 1817, in Pelham; m. Nov. 8, 1840, Lucy M. Bean of , dau. of , b. -; d.-. He d. , in . – children. They had three children die in Cornish: Alivah O., June 27, 1846, aged 4; Albah B., Jan. 27, 1854; Abby R., Oct. 16, 1855.
viii. RUTH, b. Oct. 9, 1819, in Pelham; m. Feb. 11. 1846, Francis Lyman Bugbee of Cornish. Five children. (See Bugbee.) She d. in No. Londonderry March 22. 1881.
ix. HIRAM, b. in Cornish May 11, 1824. Never m. He d. Dec. 11, 1853, by drowning in N.Y.
