Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Gray’s West & Co. Private interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. Friends are invited to join the family for a reception at the Baker Elks Lodge after the service.
She was born on Nov. 24, 1920, to Charles and Lottie Rohner and attended grade school at Wingville. She graduated from Baker High School. She was a proud citizen of Baker City, born and raised here.
Doris married Heber Hunt and raised five children. Her biggest accomplishment was her family.
She was a warm, caring person. She took pride in the flowers she grew and the large yard she maintained. She enjoyed the garden club and inviting over neighbors and friends to watch the evening primroses bloom and the moths fly to them.
She passed with care at St. Elizabeth Health Services knowing her family and friends loved her, her family said.
She was preceded in death by her husband Heber Hunt; and daughter, Marcia.
Survivors include her sons, Timothy and Raymond Hunt; daughters, Judy Sherwood and Jan Hunt; granddaughters, Deana Hunt and Lisa Walters; grandson, Tyler; step-grandson, Chris; and brother, Charles Rohner.
Memorial contributions may be made to Community Connection through Gray’s West & Co., 1500 Dewey Ave., Baker City, OR 97814.
