John Frederick Pound, 80, died April 5, 2007, at his home in Baker City. His graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 21, at the Olney Cemetery near Pendleton. The rosary will be said and Latin Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 21, at St. Helens Catholic Church in Pilot Rock. He was born on Sept. 23, 1926, at Pendleton to Theodore Otto Pound and Esther Wiggert Pound. Her funeral was today at 2 p.m. at Coles Funeral Home, 1950 Place St. Pastor Bruce Smith of the New Beginnings Fellowship Pentecostal Church of God will officiate. Charles G. Johnson Jr., 63, of Baker City, died March 25, 2007, at Oregon Health & Science University Hospital in Portland. A celebration of Charlie’s life and memorial service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Monday, April 16, at the Nazarene Church, 1250 Hughes Lane. There will be a reception afterward. Charlie’s life began on Nov. 16, 1943, in southern New Jersey, in a place where orchards and crops grew, producing annual bounties of fruits and vegetables. Amanda Dale Webb, 14, died March 19, 2007, at Baker City. Her memorial service was March 25 at the Ojai United Methodist Church in Ojai, Calif. The Rev. David Burgeson officiated. Interment was at the Ojai United Methodist Church Memorial Garden. Amanda was born Dec. 25, 1992, at Ventura, Calif., and had been a Ventura County resident for 13 years before moving to Oregon recently. Delores Jean Pogue, 75, of Baker City died April 2, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Care Center. A private service will be scheduled later. Delores Jean was born July 25, 1931, at Estherville, Iowa, to Thomas and Thelma L. Sampson Blom. She was raised and educated in Iowa. Delores met Robert L. Pogue, a serviceman home on leave visiting his sisters, and after a short courtship the two were married in 1951. The couple moved to Oregon in 1956. Lola Aydelott, 94, of Baker City died March 28, 2007, at her home at Meadowbrook. Her memorial was Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church in Baker City. Pastor Susan Barnes officiated. Lola was born on Sept. 2, 1912, at Joplin, Mo. Lola’s family left Missouri when she was young to travel west and finally settled on the Oregon Coast. There she met Owen Aydelott through friends and family members. The couple were married on Feb. 28, 1931. At the time of death all members of the family were with Mrs. Perkins, who had been seriously ill for a week. Harry I. Belden, 81, of 1719 Birch St., died Sunday afternoon in St. Elizabeth Hospital. Mr. Belden was born in Adrian, Mich., Jan. 20, 1878. He moved to Cove, Ore., with his family at the age of 14 and has lived in Oregon since, most of the time in Baker County. He had been a miner and had worked in many of the gold mines in the vicinity. Baker City, Oregon Funeral services for Karen Elizabeth Welter, 23, were conducted at 3 p.m. today at the Presbyterian Church in Baker. Mrs. Welter died July 23, 1970 at Physicians and Surgeons Hospital in Portland. A native of Weiser, Idaho, Mrs. Welter moved to Baker in 1957 and graduated from Baker High School.
