Marshall E. Woollen

Sergt. Marshall E. Woollen served in Company F of the 105th Engineers, part of the 30th Division during World War I. Born to J. W. and Emma Woollen in Forsyth County, he was married to Grace Woollen. He enlisted on June 24, 1916, trained at various camps, and was deployed to France in April 1918, where he engaged in combat in Belgium and France. Woollen returned to the U.S. in April 1919 and was discharged at Camp Jackson.

Bryan W. Woollen

Sergt. Bryan W. Woollen served with Company F of the 105th Engineers, 30th Division. Born to J.W. and Mrs. Emma Woollen in Forsyth County, he entered military service on June 4, 1916. After training at several camps, he deployed to France in April 1918. He participated in battles in Belgium and France, sustaining a leg wound during the offensive on the Somme Front on October 8, 1918. Woollen returned to the U.S. on December 22, 1918, and was discharged in August 1919.
