Obituary of Calvin Hugh Whitnah

Calvin Hugh Whitnah (1938-2008) of Richland, Idaho, passed away at his home on August 10, 2008, at the age of 70. Born on June 6, 1938, in Rupert, Idaho, to Harvey Marshall and Clarice Ann (Harwood) Whitnah, Calvin spent his early years in Richland, where he was active in 4-H and sports. He married Emma Louise Koch on May 17, 1959, in New Meadows, Idaho. A diesel mechanic by trade, Calvin worked for major trucking companies and the State of Oregon. He is survived by his wife, three sons, and 12 grandchildren. Funeral services were held on August 15, 2008, at the LDS Chapel in Halfway.

La Grande, Oregon Calvin H. Whitnah, 70, of Richland, died Aug. 10 at his home. A funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Halfway.
