Biographical Sketch of Charles D. White
Charles D. White, born September 21, 1882, in Phelps, New York, is the son of David and Melissa White. He was educated in local schools and Rochester Business College. Initially employed as a clerk in Geneva, he later farmed for five years. In 1906, he returned to Phelps, working as a teamster before co-founding a coal and produce business in 1907. He is a Democrat, a member of the Presbyterian church, and affiliated with Sincerity Lodge No. 200 Masons. He married Lois F. Blount in 1902.
