Genealogical Record of Thomas Wait and his descendants looks at the genealogy of Thomas Wait (1601-1677) who was from Wethersfield Parish, Essex, England. On his arrival in America, landing in Rhode Island, he applied for a lot on which to build,and was granted it on 7/1/1639. On 3/l6/l641 he became a Freeman in Newport R. I. He died in Portsmouth R. I., before April 1677 intestate. This Thomas Wait was a cousin to the Richard Waite of Watertown Mass., who was a large land owner. This unpublished manuscript provides the descendants of this family.

George Frederich Christoph Schrader has been a resident of Saline County, Kansas, thirty years. Measured by the practical results that have proceeded from his intelligence and energy, he is without question one of the foremost farmers of the state. It is not merely a matter of possessing large bodies of land, but the method in which they are improved and farmed, which constitute his achievements as a resident of Kansas. Duim, Jessie Marie Stene Schrader Mrs. – Obituary

Jessie Marie Schrader Duim, 94, died May 10, 2009, at the home of her son, David, in Baker City. At Jessie’s request there will be no service. The Neptune Society was in charge of the cremation. Jessie was born the fourth of six children to Magness Olsen and Beret Marie Stene on March 10, 1915, in Los Angeles. She married Wilbur “Bill” Schrader on March 12, 1934, in Santa Barbara, Calif. and they moved to Oregon where they raised two sons, Wilbur M. and David. Jessie was active in the Douglas County, Oregon, Trail Dusters Saddle Club, where she met
