Frank H. Sargent, M.D., born October 31, 1861, in Pittsfield, is a well-regarded local physician and member of a distinguished family with deep roots in American history. His great-grandfather served under Washington during the Revolutionary War, while his father, Charles H. Sargent, was a prominent community member. Frank pursued his education at Maine Medical School and Dartmouth College, graduating in 1889. After gaining experience in New York, he returned to Pittsfield to practice medicine, earning a strong reputation and successfully managing the family farm. An independent thinker, he is active in local organizations and a Congregationalist in faith.
