He was born in Indiana, came to the Pacific Coast in 1866 and had lived in Kittitas Valley for twenty years. Funeral services will be held at the Evenson Chapel Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 2 p.m. for Ben F. Rader, native Reeecer Creek rancher who died Thursday [September 12, 1963] at the Ellensburg General Hospital. Rev. Paul G. Nance will officiate and interment will be in the IOOF Cemetery. Former Ellensburg area resident Hilda G. Rader, 90, died Monday [January 16, 1984] following a short illness in Modesto, Calif. She had been living in California with her son and daughter-in-law since 1980 She was born in Freeport, Ill., on Jan. 3, 1894, one of eight children of Christian and Marie Brunn. On Sunday Oct. 26th the gentle spirit of Margaret Rader passed to the land where pain is not, neither sorrow nor death, age 73. She was the mother of ten children, seven of whom are still living, two sons in the Methow Valley, one of whom had just been down to see her, one daughter in California.
