Biography of Thomas M. Lillard

Thomas M. Lillard, born July 29, 1881, in Bloomington, Illinois, practiced law in Topeka for nine years. After graduating from Illinois Wesleyan University and studying law in Denver, he began his legal career in Burlingame in 1905. He later joined the firm of Blair, Magaw & Lillard, serving as assistant general attorney for Union Pacific Railway in Missouri and Kansas. A Democrat, Lillard was active in the Sigma Chi fraternity and local clubs. He married Elsie Hooper in 1908; they had three daughters.

Lillard, Kenneth Leroy – Obituary

Kenneth Leroy Lillard, 84, of La Grande, passed away on March 19 at home. Born on January 22, 1924, in Yale, Oklahoma, he had a lengthy career in radio, founding KLBM and KLBM-FM. A dedicated community member, he was involved with various organizations, receiving awards for his service. Lillard was a long-time member and leader at the First Christian Church, known for his musical contributions. He is survived by his wife, sons, and siblings. A celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday.
